About Us GirlsGoIT is a project that encourages girls and young women to go in the field of technology from a young age, choosing STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education path and empowering girls and young women in and through technology to have better future education and employment opportunities.

GirlsGoIT Theory of change is based on its mission, main priority pillars and the platform it develops. GirlsGoIT main priority pillars are:
Education To provide STEM Education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for girls and young women without no previous experience and knowledge Access To provide STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for girls and young women in rural communities and remote areas by giving them a change to learn Advocacy To introduce the concept of empowering girls to lead initiatives and represent STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) among their peers
Our Experience GirlsGoIT was launched on the 27th of March 2015. For the good results and its programmes, TEKEDU was honoured with the award WITHandFOR Girls by Stars Foundation (a group of organizations dedicated to work for girls empowerment and education) and Google Rise Awards in 2016 for GirlsGoIT program in the regions of the Republic of Moldova.
